Hardcore gamers have some great news to be excited about. Sony Computer Entertainment recently announced that they will be launching the PS4 with a 1TB hard drive capacity.

“Offering twice the storage of the existing PS4, you’ll be able to download more of the games you love to your PS4, extend your play with more great add-on content and save and share even more of your best gaming highlights”, stated the PlayStation Blog.

The 1TB PlayStation4 Ultimate Player Edition as it is called would be perfect for gamers who frequently download games and other downloadable content into their systems. Depending on the game, it can take up to 50 GB of storage space along with DLC. With games getting bigger and bigger every year, gamers will find the new PS4 convenient, as they won’t have to delete much data to make space for new games.

The 1TB PS4 console will launch in select European countries and PAL territories on July 15 this year. Prices were not mentioned so check with your local retailers.
